With Rahm Emanuel currently sporting a 29 percent approval rate less than a year before Chicago’s next mayoral election, it’s likely that there is going to be a new heir to the midwestern metropolis’ political throne.
While there are undoubtedly a number of politicians who will vie for the coveted seat, one man is throwing his support behind an unlikely candidate who, for better or for worse, is one of the city’s most famous residents: Kanye West.
According to NME, artist and writer Ben Shepard has launched in an effort to get others to throw their support behind the undisputed king of Chi-Town in the upcoming election. On the website, Shepard maintains that he earnestly believes West would be the perfect replacement.
