SPORTS: BEARS LOSE HOME OPENER TO BILLS 20-23 IN OT

Chicago's Matt Forte ran for 82 yards and had 87 receiving. Brandon Marshall caught eight passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. Alshon Jeffery also had 71 yards receiving, although he spent most of the second half on the sideline because of a hamstring injury. Bennett had 70 yards receiving and a TD, but left guard Matt Slauson and center Roberto Garza left the game with ankle injuries.
It wasn't a great afternoon for a revamped defense, either. Allen, the star addition in the offseason overhaul, was a nonfactor in his Bears debut. But Trestman thought it was a good day overall for that group — Jackson's long run aside.
