As the investigation into the Boston Marathon bombings continues, the Chicago Police Department is sending five investigators and one sergeant to Boston to help, police officials said in a press release Friday afternoon.
The release said that Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis asked for the assistance this morning in a conversation with Chicago Police Superintendent Gary McCarthy.
