EVENT: 2016 CHICAGO EDITION OF LOLLAPALOOZA LINE UP ANNOUNCED

2016 Lollapalooza lineup was announced on Wednesday, March 23. For the music festival’s big 25th anniversary, 170 bands and artists will perform on eight stages for four days only in Grant Park from July 28 to 31.
Lollapalooza, or Lolla, as it’s often referred to, is usually a three-day music festival set in Chicago. The festival first started in 1991 when Perry Farrell, the lead singer for Jane’s Addiction, wanted to do a farewell tour, which led to a festival featuring various artists. The music festival was first canceled in 1997 and then in 2004 due to low ticket sales, but now it’s back due to the demand and popularity of music festivals. Now Lollapalooza has become one of the most popular festivals in North America.
