CURIE HIGH SCHOOL FORFEITS ALL WINS AND CITY CHAMPIONSHIP

The Chicago Public Schools investigation into Curie has revealed that seven basketball players were ineligible since the beginning of the basketball season. The players were not named. According to a release sent out by the CPS, Curie will forfeit all 24 wins including the city championship. The CPS will not name a city champion this season. The CPS says Curie is eligible to compete in the state tournament, which begins Monday, since the state and the CPS have different eligibility requirements.
