Lupe Fiasco is facing a lawsuit from the wife of convicted drug dealer Charles “Chilly” Patton according to a report by TMZ. In her suit, Inita Patton, claims that Lupe worked with her estranged husband to hide more than $9 million dollars in different bank accounts. Inita says Lupe was directly involved in the scheme to prevent her from receiving any of those hidden funds in the couple’s current divorce proceedings. She is suing Lupe in order to reclaim the money. Charles Patton was a partner in Lupe’s 1st and 15th Records. He is also listed as one of the executive producers on Lupe’s first album Food & Liquor. In 2007, Patton was charged with running a heroin empire in Chicago. Prosecutors tried to make a connection between Patton’s drug dealings and the record label, but were unable to do so. Lupe even testified at the trial for the defense. Patton was eventually convicted of possessing six kilos of heroin and sentenced to 44 years in prison. Lupe was not charged in the case.

LUPE FIASCO BEING SUED FOR HIDDEN MONEY WITH DRUG KINGPIN
