MUSIC NEWS: KENNY MAC PREPS RELEASE OF "CAN'T TAKE ME"

Can’t Take Me, scheduled for release in June 2017, is the highly-anticipated mixtape from Chicago rapper Kenny Mac. Hosted by Bigga Rankin, the project comes out of the emerging record label GMI (General Music Infantry) and features the 19 year-old artist that has thousands of anxious fans wanting to personally hand him to the spotlight. Delivering viral singles over the past three years though YouTube videos from the streets of Chicago with his “go crazy” theme, the Englewood-bred rapper is delivering a 12-track project featuring several beats by label mate Hi Definition, along with producers C-Sick, Chop Squad DJ, Costa Beats, DJ Kenn and Platinum Touch.
Kenny Mac has survived three shootings on the streets of Chicago (most recently in November of 2016) with his fans taking to social media expressing their hope for him to make it out of the Chiraq war zone to share his talent with the world. The Can’t Take Me mixtape is a clear declaration that nothing will detour him from pursuing his dream. He reiterates that promise in the song Grindin’. The mixtape kicks off with Feel Me which warns listeners of the raw, no-chaser they are about to engage in, then explodes with Can’t Take Me, followed by a reminder he’s in it for the win with Going In. On the Make It Out track, he collaborates with Prince Dre to speak on escaping the suffering and constant tragedy that comes with being from the hood, while expressing gratitude for the love and loyalty. He passes the mike on track 11 with a song from the unreleased archives of slain rising rap star and childhood friend, Polo. The tape closes with his motivation for fighting through it all with No Mo’ – I’m tryna make it so the fam ain’t gotta work no mo’ … so my boys ain’t sellin’ work no mo’... can’t put my homie on a shirt no mo’…"
