The murder of 19-month-old Amierah Roberson has been charged to the toddler's mother's boyfriend James Harris (pictured) who was the one to originally report that the baby girl was missing on Sunday evening.
The police began an exhaustive search following Harris' call. Earlier that afternoon, they also learned that the remains of a young girl were found in suburban Riverdale. The body was later determined to be Roberson's.
According to a new release from the Chicago Police Department, when he was confronted by police Harris admitted to having committed the murder and then dumping the body in a secluded area.
Harris is being charged with first degree murder.

MURDER SUSPECT IN CASE OF 19 MONTH YEAR OLD FOUND IN RIVERDALE
