It happened last year and now it’s happened again — a system glitch has put a halt to the online registration for the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Registration was supposed to begin Wednesday, but instead is being postponed until March 19, according to the marathon’s website.
Last year, the online registration system crashed shortly after people began signing up. Race organizers eventually turned to a lottery to fill the remaining slots.
The marathon is set for Oct. 12.
