SPORTS: WHITE SOX SIGN FREE AGENT MELKY CABRERA

The White Sox have found an upgrade in left field by agreeing with free agent Melky Cabrera, a baseball source confirmed to ESPN.com.
The three-year contract is worth $42 million, pending a physical exam which is expected to take place early this week, a baseball source told ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick.

SPORTS: CUBS INTRODUCE NEW MANAGER "JOE MADDON'

Maddon was introduced Monday as Chicago's fifth manager since the start of the 2010 season, replacing Rick Renteria. The sides agreed to a five-year contract through the 2019 season. Terms were not disclosed, but according to ESPN and media reports the deal is worth $25 million plus incentives tied to the postseason and does not include an opt-out clause.

SPORTS: BEARS DEFENSIVE END LAMARR HOUSTON HURT CELEBRATING SACK

Chicago Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston will undergo an MRI on Monday after hurting his right knee while celebrating a sack of Jimmy Garoppolo during the fourth quarter of the club's 51-23 loss to the New England Patriots.
