Walter Long Jr., better known as John Walt and Dinner With John, and co-founder of emergent West Side hip-hop group Pivot Gang, was fatally stabbed on Wednesday in River North.
Long started Pivot Gang in 2012 with MFn Melo and Long’s cousins Joseph Chilliams and Saba, who has since risen to deserved national acclaim.
Kevin Alexander, of the 3000 block of West Fullerton Blvd., was charged with a felony count of first degree murder after being identified as the assailant in the attack, police said.
