THIS DAY IN HIP HOP

WE HIGHLIGHT A SPECIAL MOMENT IN THE HIP HOP CULTURE. THIS IS TODAY'S....
MAR.1ST 1996
Thugs-N-Harmony release their classic Grammy Award winning smash hit “Tha Crossroads”, on Ruthless Records, on this day in 1996. “Tha Crossroads”, from the Cleveland group’s multi-platinum selling sophomore album, “E. 1999 Eternal”, was an ode to their mentor Eazy-E, who discovered the group in 1993 and signed the harmony-driven crew to his Ruthless label. Eazy-E would pass away from complications of the AIDS virus in 1995. “Tha Crossroads” would go one to be Bone Thugs-n-Harmony’s biggest selling single ever, selling millions of copies worldwide.
